MALAWI BIKE PROJECT

The Young Lewisham Project isn’t only about helping the youth in our local community, we want to teach our young people how they can give back too.

For the past few years we have been receiving donated, unwanted bicycles from all over. The young people who come to the project work on these bikes and refurbish them to a good working order.

These bikes are then sent to Malawi in Africa. It may not sound a big deal but for the young people of Malawi it is a dream come true. They don’t just use the bikes to have fun they use them to make their difficult lives a whole lot easier!
