"Our proudest moments are not grand; they are not moments that will change the world, but they are moments that will change the lives of the young people we have worked with, over the last 45 years, forever"

"Since I've been coming to YLP I've got back into school again and I'm not getting into trouble with the police anymore.  I've learnt how to cook and I've started cycling.  I'm happier and more respectful and I have loved every minute of being involved with the project.  I want to come to back to volunteer at the project to help other young people."

"I came to YLP because of my behavior in school and I was always talking about bikes in class. So a couple of people in my school was already in YLP and the school was offering if I wanted to go to see if it would better my behaviour and it did I love it here and I want to be a mechanic or engineer when I'm older so I can get experince from here and I can put my work here on a cv so it would help me find a job in the future."

I've been bringing my students to YLP for 2 years and the work and the dedication from the staff is amazing!   The students are encouraged to try new experiences and develop new skills outside of the shcool setting.  Some students have picked the subjects for their college course to develop their knowledge further
